Walking Away From Office Romance

Image
Workplace or office affairs are very common in every part of the world! Roughly half of all affairs happen at work...or well..a lot! Funny enough..most times it actually starts innocently enough..like.. -You and a coworker are working together on a project.. -You and your colleague have a common goal and similar pressures. -Or better still, you and your colleague have to travel for work and end up having dinner together or working late hours...The two of you have dinner and talk about your work, then the conversation changes and you start to share more personal things, such as your desire for a different job, or your dreams about your future or even about your personal life. You become aware that your co-worker is really listening to you cos he or she really takes an interest in what you are saying. At that point, this seems different from your spouse/partner because your partner is always or more often, busy with the children or other schedules. You find yourself not

And another one by Reuben Abati..

On a Sunday morning, sipping my hot cup of tea,I stumble on another article by Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser on Media&Publicity to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan. He is known for his hilarious, sarcastic and intriguing articles on matters arising or social media issues talked about in a lotta households in Nigeria! I personally look forward to his articles and I am gonna share this one today as he talks on the Davido baby-mama saga, the Headies...and Politics of course*smiles* Quite a long read though... “What a relief, my friend!” “What are you relieved about?” “It is this David Adeleke and Sophia Momodu soap opera”. “I tell you. It is a perfect subject for a good home video. But what is your own?” “No. Nothing. I am just relieved that the parties involved have agreed to let peace reign” “This will be about the third time I would hear of that matter being resolved.” “Well, I think the Momodus and the Adelekes should just spare us. They should not forget there is a

Creating Opportunities..

I tuned in on a radio show few nights ago and was quite glad I did! It was at time when I could have being getting ready for my beauty sleep but I decided to sacrifice my time to see if I could learn a thing or 2. So the topic was about the present situations in Nigeria and what one can do to survive the challenges! The recent policy by CBN on naira MasterCard used in foreign countries or for foreign transactions was mentioned. It obviously has not gone down well with a lot of citizens especially those of us who have thrived on daily/weekly foreign transactions! So the policy is obviously here to stay, due to what the CBN explained as their reason for this policy. Now the question is...If this policy affects your business, what are you gonna do about it? The looming economic crisis rocking Nigeria due to the fall in the price of crude oil in the international market, which is the mainstay of the Nigerian economy, may persist longer! Industry sources have said that, althou

That Costly 10mins Of Temptation...

The holidays are almost over&back to serious business*sobs*..*sniff* Ok...anyways..On New Year's day,I decided to go visit a friend who I haven't caught up with for months now. I have missed her much cos she always has one hot gist or shocking news of some sort! So I get to her place& we start chatting about the holidays and all the mad fun that some people had ...and somehow arrived at this guy who travelled to his hometown for Christmas and infact, almost lost his life! Yesss..he was really lucky! Infact after reading the story,my body twitched at the end&at that point I knew I had to share this cos we all need to be very..and I mean..VERY careful!! So here goes.. "This is a true story of an unforgettable near death experience I had on the night of 24th December, 2015 that changed my life forever. I decided to share this story not because I want you to castigate me for my act (you can’t castigate me more than I have castigate myself), but

Welcoming 2016 realistically...

It's not the usual walk into the new year with a loooong list of resolutions so am just gonna make it simple&reasonable this time*big smile* I dunno bout u but I have aw l ays believed in that saying .. "Whoever fails to plan..plans to fail" ..Sooo..Am definitely gonna plan with all the faith&hope my soul can possibly muster! When I say plan..Am not referring to unrealistic goals which have being somewhat of the case in the past years*sighs* It's more like..grabbing the new possibilities that would come my way and turning them around somehow for my good! I had been told years back that sometimes you'd be amazed how God answers your requests!! From the simplest signs He gives you...to the most unexpected person He speaks through! It just wouldn't take Him coming down and tossing the response to your requests in your palms!!*sighs* It also might not come at a time when you expect..but it eventually comes..Yesss...in His time! So don't

A`Christmas Day meditation...

I wake up on this bright, cold Christmas morning and alas!!! It's Christmas day!!! The long awaited day!! Yaaaaaaaay!! Welll.. the holiday yesterday already put me in the mood, despite the feeling I had since last week, not exactly feeling like I was close to Christmas day yet*sighs* So I pick up my phone to see if my family or friends are in the mood to celebrate...and yaaaaay i get tons of messages wishing me a very merry Christmas!!! Woww...cards and hampers by the door... Awwwww!! Walking back to bed, i just drop my phone and start meditating... "you know it's really not about the public holidays...or the outings…or even the gifts!! It's actually about LOVE!! U can't help but feel loved not just today , but this season! Think about the reason for all this celebrations...Christ!! He loved you unconditionally soooo much that He gave up his life to save you!! Who does that??? Who can ever??? Now that gives you more than a million reasons to ce
