Be Informed On The Outbreak!!

Image
The Nigerian Ministry of Health has confirmed the outbreak of Lassa fever in some states of the country. With the outbreak of the fever, it is important to put in place preventive and control measures in homes/offices most especially since reported cases have been confirmed in the region. Lassa fever is caused by infection with the Lassa virus which is spread by rats that live in large numbers in West, Central and East Africa. They carry the virus in their urine and faeces and live in homes and areas where food is stored. The disease can be contracted by ingestion of foods and drinks contaminated by the saliva, urine and faeces of infected rats; catching and preparing infected rats as food, inhaling tiny particles in the air contaminated with infected rats’ urine or droppings, direct contact with a sick person’s blood or body fluids, through mucous membranes, like eyes, nose or mouth. Those at the highest risk include health workers, families and friends of an

Dream maker...or Dream Killer?

I have heard someone say "If your dreams don't scare you...then it's not big enough!" Funny as it sounds… it's kinda true. That's obviously why it's a dream! You can't be dreaming the normal or usual things because those happen around you everyday. It's something different, something so unimaginable that it even scares you! But guess what? It takes you to make that dream reality someday..somehow! It might not be in the exact form of the dream...but at least bits and pieces of the dream could make up that reality you want it to be! At that point, you are a Dream maker but what do you do with the dream?? That's the big question! Do you make something out of it...or do you kill that dream? *sighs* Don’t let your dreams just be dreams! A winner is a dreamer who never gives up! Don’t let anyone ever make you think you don’t deserve what you want! Being a dreamer doesn’t actually mean walking around wi

Walking Away From Office Romance

Workplace or office affairs are very common in every part of the world! Roughly half of all affairs happen at work...or well..a lot! Funny enough..most times it actually starts innocently enough..like.. -You and a coworker are working together on a project.. -You and your colleague have a common goal and similar pressures. -Or better still, you and your colleague have to travel for work and end up having dinner together or working late hours...The two of you have dinner and talk about your work, then the conversation changes and you start to share more personal things, such as your desire for a different job, or your dreams about your future or even about your personal life. You become aware that your co-worker is really listening to you cos he or she really takes an interest in what you are saying. At that point, this seems different from your spouse/partner because your partner is always or more often, busy with the children or other schedules. You find yourself not

And another one by Reuben Abati..

On a Sunday morning, sipping my hot cup of tea,I stumble on another article by Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser on Media&Publicity to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan. He is known for his hilarious, sarcastic and intriguing articles on matters arising or social media issues talked about in a lotta households in Nigeria! I personally look forward to his articles and I am gonna share this one today as he talks on the Davido baby-mama saga, the Headies...and Politics of course*smiles* Quite a long read though... “What a relief, my friend!” “What are you relieved about?” “It is this David Adeleke and Sophia Momodu soap opera”. “I tell you. It is a perfect subject for a good home video. But what is your own?” “No. Nothing. I am just relieved that the parties involved have agreed to let peace reign” “This will be about the third time I would hear of that matter being resolved.” “Well, I think the Momodus and the Adelekes should just spare us. They should not forget there is a
